New VNC Community Portal - based upon Cyn.in

VNC recently introduced its new community portal based upon the outstanding collaboration product called Cyn.in. All VNC partners like e.g. vendors, resellers, customers, employees, suppliers and friends now have the opportunity to stay connected with VNC in a seamless way.

Cynapse, the inventor of Cyn.in, built a great portal solution with an easy to use user experience. Usually users are feeling familiar with Cyn.in in a very short time. Until now VNC has been using - as most companies might do - a CMS and in our case Typo3. The disadvantages of such tools are the complexity to store and manage information and to share with specific target groups.

All news around the VNC product portfolio will be published within Cyn.in from now on. The "publish to Anonymus Users" feature allows us to publish information not only to internal VNC members and partners but also to anybody else being interested in VNC content.

The powerful groups and user management features of Cyn.in enable us to grant granular access rights to very specific groups and users. Which leads to a much more precise distribution of information to selected individuals. Subscribers - e.g. via RSS or Atom Feeds - will get exactly the type of information they require. And using Cyn.in is not only a one-way street. Thanks to the powerful discussion, blog, Wiki etc. features, Cyn.in users can start sharing ideas and follow the contributions of other community members easily.
